THE MASTERS UNITE AT THE REVOLUTION RECRUITS Featured

Carl Cox brings one of his fellow pioneers since the birth of electronic music and masters of busting the sound barrier to The Revolution Recruits at Space Ibiza this Tuesday.

Laurent Garnier will be gracing the decks this week when he presents his world acclaimed conceptual live show L.B.S. alongside Carl’s other esteemed guests Chris Liebing, Yousef and Gilles Peterson, as well as Dermot C, Sam Walker, Reece Brett, Wonderlust DJS, The Mekanism, Sean Brosnan y Marcoloco (LIVE).

A completely unique performance every time, Laurent explains: L.B.S. changes every night. We are not on a fixed format at all. What we’re trying to do with L.B.S. is experiment fresh tracks with the crowd so every time, we have something new. We’ll work on the show the night before, add some snares, new bass, new string on a track. Once we feel okay, this is nearly done, we’ll go into the studio and record. For us it’s a real experience.”

Garnier started out his career in the late 80s and was a pioneer of dance music not just in his native France but also in the UK. As one of the key DJs at the legendary Haçienda in Manchester, Laurent was at the forefront even before the ‘summer of love’ when the explosion of the electronic sound hit dancefloors. His mission to make international waves resulted in a world-wide tour and very quickly, a global reputation. Still cutting the finest mixes today combined with an exceptional ability to lift the crowd off their feet and take them on a musical journey through sound and time, it’s an absolute pleasure to have this maestro at Space Ibiza.

CLR label boss Chris Liebing will be pounding out his signature brand of muscly techno, sure to be holding the crowd in the palm of his hand as he flexes up multi-layers of anticipation before laying down chunky, deep, satisfying drops. Always on fine form, the German DJ and producer maintains the ethos of making each party he plays at particularly special, at the heart of everything he does.

Another heavyweight DJ and the man behind uniting a long list of music styles, artists and producers, Gilles Peterson’s style is hard to match, as is his inquisitiveness for new music and sounds.

Driving Brownswood Recordings and even his own industry awards ceremony, everything that Giles does sceams passion and showcasing not only his own skills, but those of his peers. Expect an eclectic mix of a variety of genres blended to fit the pleasure of The Revolution Recruits fans.

Yousef will undoubtedly be educating as well as entertaining music lovers as he sweeps the floor with hedonistic techno and of course, Carl Cox will be at the helm of it all as he leads another night of his world-famous party which brings people together from every corner of the globe. Always championing the skills of electronic legends as well as young, fresh talents, his army just keeps getting stronger.
