HOOKED ON HOUSE MUSIC AT CAFÉ OLÉ Featured

Glamour, glitz and sheer, classic beauty are the central themes of this week’s Café Olé as it takes on the role of ‘Burlesque’ with house music legend Roger Sanchez headlining the bill.

Having its own incredible production which takes centre stage in the club’s main room and transforms it into another world, expect a spectacular show hand-in-hand with premier electronic music from the master of house himself alongside DANNY AVILA, HOUSE SOUTH BROTHERS, PABLO KOPANOS, DANNY LEBLACK, FRANK MORIN, DAVID MORENO, OSCAR CANO and MARCOLOCO.

Roger Sanchez’s journey into house music began on the streets of New York during his high school days when he was “heavily into break dancing, early hip hop, and club music”. As music became his absolute focus, he immersed himself in it, confiscated his mother's stereo system from her and spent every penny he had on vinyl. He says: “I got my first house track from a record shop in Manhattan, and I was hooked! Soon after I was creating and promoting my own club events, financed by the mixed tapes I sold on the street.” Cut to many years later and a hugely successful career behind him which continues to shine, Roger adds that “Ibiza continues to inspire and rejuvenate my love for house music." In his ‘home’ of Space Ibiza, Roger is sure to mix-up a pure bomb of classic and contemporary house, with flavours of tech-house.

From a pure legend to the hottest, youngest DJs of 2012, Café Olé also showcases one of the electronic scene’s biggest rising stars. Danny Avila is just 17. However, he mixes like one of the masters hence why he’s playing numerous dates at Café Olé and warming-up for world famous DJs.  He’s come a long way since he started spinning at just 12 years old when he got his first decks. With an infectious energy that reverberates around the main room every time he plays, Danny’s already thinking about the world of production. That and how to make sure the crowd has as much fun as possible.

Speaking of having fun and pushing every boundary to the limit in the search of it, the House South Brothers (one half of which is Pablo Kopanos) are no strangers to getting the crowd jumping in unison. Their full-on, power-packed sets literally raise the roof every time they play at Space Ibiza on Saturday nights and they’re the perfect duo to elevate this night of Burlesque into something extra special.

Get ready to dance. You won’t be able to stop.
