One of the masters of electronic music and an inspiration to all the industry’s top DJs and rising stars will be making a very special appearance at ENTER. on Thursday.
Sven Väth is not only one of the leading global figures in promoting fresh talent, pushing boundaries and creating a unique sound that has led to a long and illustrious 30 year career in the business, he’s also the figure who helped Richie Hawtin get an important break which consequentially led to him working with Sven and colouring parts of his own rich trajectory.
Speaking about when he first men Richie, Sven reveals: “Our very first encounter was on the escalator of Marriott's in New York, during the New Music Seminar 1991. He gave me his Plus 8 record "F.U.S.E.". My first impression was, 'this is an ingenious nerd, to the core!' Later, I invited him to play at my 26th birthday party at my club, the Omen in Frankfurt. And he became the first international resident DJ at the Omen!”
An unbelievable 21 years later, Richie and Sven still share a very close relationship, personally and professionally, and so bringing him to Space Ibiza is an honour not just for the crowd that loyally gather at ENTER. each week to indulge in the party that the whole world’s talking about, but also Richie himself. Prepare to experience some particularly special moments as they play together as well of course, as conceptual techno that will embrace and enlighten your very soul.
For those who have never experienced ENTER. it’s not just another club night. A fusion of four rooms built on the principles of Music, Sake, Technology and Experience in collaboration with Kehakuma – Space’s own hugely respected party which is into its fourth year – invites the music lover into something completely unique. Taking charge of the pre-party in ENTER.Sake, Nina Kraviz will be warming up the club from 10pm until midnight with her deep, sexy signature sound that’s made her one of the hottest, in-demand female artists this year. Her raw mixes coupled with an endearing spirit makes both her and her music impossible to resist. Hito takes over ENTER.Sake after Nina while in ENTER.Kehakuma we have Magda, Roman Flügel, Barem, Clickbox (live) and Remo. In ENTER.Air we’ll be treated to a set from veteran French DJ - Francois K.
ENTER.Interakt rounds off the experience with a full terrace of interactive technology. A Kinect camera detects people’s distances with its depth sensor, illuminating a projection of signature black particles which changes constantly. Not far from there, long swaying jellyfish like creatures hang from the ceiling, constantly changing colours and drawing in intrigued clubbers. These are activated and controlled through proximity sensors inside which alters the sound and light in a variety of ways in real-time. This whole audio/visual experience can be controlled by the audience using the newly developed SMUDGE iPhone App.
So step inside a world that will take you beyond anything you can imagine. We’re waiting…
