The Luciano gang keeps gaining momentum, and all the artists on stage delivered some outstanding performances. With the season kicking in at high speed (officially, it was the first day of Summer), it’s good to see more and more people getting on the Island and going out for some fun.
Ezikiel’s welcome debut on the Ibiza circuit was nothing short of spectacular: the Swiss DJ showed his diverse artist background by playing a tribal infused and percussive set, a cultural heritage of his upbringing. Growing up in Negril’s Beach, Jamaica, he was raised on a diet of Ska, Blue Beat and Dub. Couple that with his mom’s African roots and you can see where this guy comes from.
Willy Graff, Vallès and Remi Vannetti B2B Cyril followed through and made everyone dance with some sick Deep House cuts.
Main Room’s very special guest was none else than Mr. Erick Morillo (All Night Long): the “I Like To Move It” star delivered a selection filled with some of his most successful tracks and remixes to date, bringing his unique mix of House and Salsa and Merengue Music (a nod to his childhood years spent in Colombia) to the crowds of Ibiza, a place that has always held him in much respect throughout the years.
In the Terrace (a.k.a. the Vagabundos room) Felipe Valenzuela opened the dances in true Cadenza style: groovy bass melodies, crunching claps and shimmering rides coupled with subtle drum edits were played out in abundance from the speakers. The Melisma guy’s bubbling rhythms and warm synth lines grabbed the listeners’ attention, who were already shaking their bodies from early on in the night.
Guillaume & The Coutu Dumonds’ drum machines and samplers came up onstage afterwards: the Chic Miniature virtuoso played his trademark one-man show, with syncopated basslines and jazzy beats filling the airwaves.
Luciano’s performance was the perfect end to an incredible week for himself: his party in Barcelona for Off Week 2015 cemented his reputation as the party Golden Boy even more, making 5000 people dance throughout every second of his performance. His constant hand clapping and waving on stage, not to mention his uber-famous whistle, kicked some ass at Poble Espanyol, a night to remember for all his fans who were in attendance. With this level of energy, and after another triumphant gig in Italy on Saturday afternoon, Luciano had a good bunch of tricks up his sleeve ready for Space Ibiza, giving 110% once more in the Vagabundos room.
Highlight of the night, his superb remix of Los Updates’ ‘Getting Late’, with that infectious catchy vocals sending everyone bonkers.
See you next Sunday 28th June! Buy your tickets for Vagabundos at Space Ibiza and enjoy the sets by Luciano, Audiofly, Argy, Onur Özer, Cezar and more artists.
