IBIZA CALLING: THE BEST WAY TO FACE MONDAYS Featured

Once again, Space Ibiza kicked off the week with Ibiza Calling, the best way to face Mondays. And it’s this party that achieves a fusion between the best house music of the moment and old-time classics, which also brings together people of several generations with a common goal: to have fun.

Residents Camilo Franco, Oscar Cano and Ramon Castells were in charge of putting the sound to the Sunset Terrace that opened its doors early at 10pm for the most eager clubbers. Its intimate atmosphere brings a sense of familiarity to the scene, warming up until the Terrace reveals its magnitude at midnight. For anyone who’s never experienced the euphoric atmosphere of Ibiza Calling, the truth is that this party of house, aims to take clubbers to a higher dimension - although the roar of the planes passing above remind you that your feet are still on the ground.

Camilo Franco was responsible for opening the Terrace. With tracks like Ian Carey ft Michelle Shellers’ ‘Keep on Rising’, his session picked up the pace until he had everyone in the main room dancing with their arms up in the air. The duo Prok & Fich were up next and kept the show going, presenting the party with their best hits like ‘You Need Some’. They played a more electronic set, which accompanied by the energy of the two DJs, made the audience vibrate as the atmosphere got hotter. Their remix of Todd Terry’s ‘Bounce To The Beat’ raised cries and people’s feet off the floor.

When Roger Sanchez came on, he opened his set with a little Florence + The Machine and got people going crazy track after track. Roger always emanates a force that is infectious to everyone present, making them dance like nothing else matters. Up last, Juanjo Martin was in charge of closing the club and as he showed Space Ibiza a powerful combination of mainstream fused with underground,  pumping adrenaline, and despite it being the early hours of the morning, made everyone forget that the night was about to come to an end.

An amazing play of lights was the final touch to make the night at Space a real show. With a thousand shapes and colours illuminating the backs of the DJs, this was the perfect complement to a fusion of artists and songs that allowed for a perfect combination of the most modern and timeless classics.

We can’t wait for next week!
