Roll on September, and Cadenza Vagabundos kicked off the last month of its summer residency at Space Ibiza with a bomb gig. For this last leg of the season’s gigs, Luciano and his cohorts are back on the Terrace and its more intimate environment.
Argentinean vinyl virtuoso Ernesto Ferreyra warmed up the dance floor with his trademark funky burst of South American minimal sounds and uptempo bouncing chords. His remix of Francesco Bergomi’s Ayxo (released on Minibus) was the highlight of the night, with tracks from his Best Buds EP and Some Kind Of Sign album also causing some big cheers from the crowd.
dOP’s flamboyant performance was met with great acclaim by everyone in attendance: the trio’s vibrant analogue Live Set made up of a bunch of synthesizers and drum machines mixed with vocalist JAW’s crazy singing antics kicked some ass as it was impossible to stand still while they were on. To add some more exclusivity to their gig, Luciano’s upcoming single on Cadenza, 7Direction(s) features JAW’s on the mic. Watch out for this one in late September.
And with this track Luciano opened his set last night: its catchy vocals and luscious melody surely proved a high point of the night, with the Cadenza man also playing a number of oldies but goldies like his remix of Argy’s Love Dose.
In the Sunset Room, Digitaline (now only comprising Laurent Bovey in the lineup) was on top form: the Swiss man’s organic Techno-meets-70s Psychedelia sounded as good as ever, with a few soon to be released gems added to the set list to please the most discerning fan.
Luciano, Francesco Tristano (live) and many more artists are waiting for you on next Sunday 13th September at Space Ibiza. Hurry up and buy your tickets for Sundays at Space with Luciano!
