August is coming to an end but the Vagabundos gang shows no sign of slowing down. The Sundays at Space with Luciano keep gaining momentum as one of the hottest parties of the week on the Island, and last night’s festivities closed off the month with a bang as the Cadenza man welcomed to the bill Kenny Glasgow, Argy, Valentino Kanzyani and Djena.
Luciano’s 2 hours flew away as the Cadenza man delivered a set with a lot of his label’s classic tracks, plus some special edits of his own productions. The Great Amael and his remix of The Rift Valley were met with loud cheers from everyone in crowd. Even the bartenders were up for it, their hands in the air and shaking their bodies to the melodies.
Kenny Glasgow’s blend of murderous basslines, raw textures and melancholy vocals suited the mood of the party perfectly: the former Art Department creative mind is now touring and releasing on his own, and his distinctive Disco gloomy style is hitting new peaks. Always beautifully selected, his music is cathartic and loaded with atmospheric tension.
One of Vagabundos’ main residents, Argy was on in the Main Room last night after his all night long appearance in the Sunset Room the week before: the Rhodes born, Berlin resident’s trademark groovy House sounds once again got the dance floor moving, showcasing some of the most soulful pieces from his very own These Days label.
Valentino Kanzyani took over the Sunset Room with a catchy selection of underground Techno, with young French talent Djena playing an upbeat warm up that got the crowd dancing since the opening of the venue.
Buy your tickets for Sundays at Space with Luciano and do not miss the sets by Luciano, dOP, Ernesto Ferreyra and many more artists, next Sunday 6th, September.
