It’s been 15 years since the beginning of Café Olé. And what a 15 years it has been! What began as an after-hours on Saturdays at Space Ibiza has evolved to one of the most referenced parties on the island and this past Monday was dedicated to celebrating its maturity in style, envisioning the movie of their life.

Each and every one of the shows were designed to commemorate and recall key moments from the past parties. The entire team at Café Olé was set to celebrate this amazing birthday. The backstage was on fire before the show. Acrobats, dancers and entertainers were running side by side. Some were warming up, others tweaking their costumes on the fly trying to get out of a backstage that was full to capacity.

Jonathan Ulysses started warming up the Sunset Area. Outside of the standard, labels or styles, music was music and in his hand it all sounded good. Resident DJs  House South Brothers, Rafha Madrid, The Cube Guys gave their best, no one wanted to clash in such an important day along with guest DJs, Chus+Ceballos and Danny Leblack, who took care of giving us the soundtrack of the night.

Chus+Ceballos, are probably the most prominent producers of Spain. The duo of Jesús López and Pablo Ceballos are now a musical reference in addition to the creators of the “Iberian Sound” movement. All their skills and poise were reflected in an incredible set that even made the bartenders and cocktail hosts dance.

Danny Leblack resident of the Ibiza party for many years knows like no one else the meaning of Café Olé. In charge to liven up the Sunset Area in the past, he returned in the second round of the season to recharge positive clubbers in the Main Room.

As usual in Café Olé between set and set Soraya Arnelas and Ultra Naté marked the changing of the guard in the turntables with their performances. The vocal power of the two enviable artists and their interpretations surely left no one indifferent.

The transgression and the show always come from Baby Marcelo and Miss Davilota, which together with the diva Amanda Lepore rounded out the evening. What has not been said about Amanda Lepore yet? The New Yorker has diva players fill three yearbooks. The singer, model and actress was the icing on the cake. Her mere presence made the stage a magical place and disobedient. Her way of dancing, singing and even interacting with the dancers made the room temperature rise and gain an applause from the audience, especially the “Marilyn” moment, when she sang ‘Happy Birthday’ in honor of Café Olé.

All big dates should be celebrated as they deserve and the polysexual Space Ibiza party succeeded.  In short, it was a night where we could see the film of the life of Café Olé. If you do not want to lose another great moment of the existence of this party, buy your tickets or VIP passes to see the performance by Dita Von Teese next week at Café Olé.

Remember! You can always replay the best evening sessions on the Café Olé Ibiza Soundcloud or in the Space Ibiza Mixcloud.
