German born Sebastian Voigt is not just a product of club culture, but a deep thinker raised on a plethora of contrasting musical genres ranging from classical to hip hop. He has been collecting, playing and making music for over a decade now and his eclectic music background combined with his love for a hedonistic rave have provided a solid basis for him to shape his distinctive style.
Berlin nightlife and frequent trips to Berghain in particular saw him develop a love for extended afterhour sets and the idea of creating a unique atmosphere, taking the listener on an auditory journey. Asked to describe his own style he says: "Entertaining, deep, evolving, with a focus on groove and mood, not too obvious. It's all about creating a vibe".
That vibe was captured in 2008 when Seb and two friends decided to create something unique for themselves and their friends. Focusing on making the right party with an intimate crowd, something special that no-one else was doing at the time... they started lo*kee, an intimate warehouse party in the heart of East London with a focus on cutting edge music and friendly, no-attitude vibes. The message quickly spread and the super-clandestine gathering quickly became London's most talked about party in 2009.
