Eight summers in Ibiza and a genuine love for music has helped shape Scott Martin as a truly Balearic DJ. The pioneer of a totally eclectic style, Scott Martin’s distinctive sound has covered a broad music spectrum, from chill out, lounge and leftfield through broken beat, jazz, latin and breaks to disco and all types of house music. Scott describes his current playing style as “House music, warm and emotive... I really don’t like trying to describe music, it does it no justice… to try and talk about music is like trying to dance about painting”

Scott Martin’s music has definitely done the talking, and has led him to bookings around the world; from Mexico, Dubai and Bahrain, to China, Thailand and Australia as well as dates across Europe.

It is his spiritual home of Ibiza where Scott has really made his mark having spent the past 4 summers as a resident for “We Love” on Sundays at Space. Add this to an already impressive list of residencies that include Mambo, Savannah and Privilege and it is clear to see the calibre of this ever popular DJ. His popularity highlighted when nominated “Best Up and Coming DJ’ in the 2006 M8 Ibiza dance Awards.

In the past 8 years in Ibiza Scott has played for Radio 1's 10th Anniversary party @ Space and has been a regular guest at Carl Cox & Friends, Pete Tong’s new night “Wonderland” and Steve Lawler’s night “Viva”. Other high-profile guest-slots around the island have included Pacha, Eden, Es Paradis, Es Vive, Las Dalias, Grial, Lolas, Guarana and Bambuddha Grove. Scott has played alongside many of the world’s greatest DJs on a regular basis including Danny Tenaglia, Fatboy Slim, Tiefschwarz, Alfredo, James Zabiela, Groove Armada, Frankie Knuckles, Roger Sanchez, DJ Hell, 2Many DJs, Pete Tong, and his all time DJ idol, Laurent Garnier. Not only appealing to ‘popular culture’ Scott is also a favourite on the underground, after-hours and villa party scenes in Ibiza.

Beside his DJ residencies, Scott has been responsible for putting on some great parties over the past 10 or so years. Starting off with the legendary “Jumpstart” parties around the turn of the century that hosted events in cool, urban locations – railway arches, basements, a converted church, and the infamous raves in the disused Aldwych tube station. He then went on to set up the popular “FILTHY gorgeous” with fellow dj Jamie Gittins. Launched in July 2005 as a small party in San Antonio’s ‘West End’ it soon moved to a residency at the world’s biggest club, Privilege. Every Wednesday FILTHY gorgeous entertained an international crowd in Privilege’s Coco Loco room as part of Mauro Picotto’s “Meganite”. Scott’s latest project is the ultra hip “Pete’s 50th” party which he runs with the ‘Private Parts’ duo of Ryan Hope & Ste Roberts.

Outside of the clubs and Scott Martin is equally at home on radio or in the studio. Scott hosted a weekly show on HFM (Ibiza) and has had guest appearances and mixes on UK stations MoS radio, Kiss 100, Unknown and House FM. Scott is working on several productions with his first full release due out soon.

Scott Martin is currently based in London where he has played many of the capital's established venues including The End, Turnmills, Unit 7, T Bar, The Key, Canvas, Pacha, Egg, Scala, Café de Paris and Sosho, as well as clubs up and down the UK like Sankeys, Custard Factory, Honey Club, Ocean Rooms, Ignition, The Warehouse and The Northern Light.
