Octave On are considered the most soulful and escapist batch of classic Detroit producers. They are in fact a family group consisting of the brothers Burden. Since their first release was signed with a seal of approval from Derrick May to his Transmat label, Lenny and Lawrence have offered a unique sound with enduring themes. As remixers have worked with Massive Attack issues, Akabu (Joey Black), DJ Rolando (Jaguar), Steve Bug, John Thomas, The Trampps, Rhythm is Rhythm and Inner City. At the end of 2006, Octave One (through their Random Noise Generation moniker) released their first full length DVD/CD project 'Off The Grid'.
