As a DJ, Dan has a broad adoration and respect for music which is reflected in his style that spans the full spectrum of House. Focusing mainly on electronic music in recent years, Dan has played to crowds all over the world and with every experience he has earned the confidence which has allowed him to unleash his true potential and grow into one of the most original and exciting up and coming DJ’s around, a title that was cemented when he was named the We Love Space “Freshblood” in January 2010. As a side project Dan is also known as Jader which is an outfit that focuses more on the down tempo aspect of electronic music. Taking in influences from Electronica, Disco and Chillout, Jader allows Dan to show his more mature nature both in the production and live environment. Previous DJ residencies for both Dan Rutledge and Jader have included; In Bed with Space (Thailand), Pete Tong’s Wonderland (Eden, Ibiza) and also the legendary beach club Delano (Ibiza).

Alongside being a DJ, Dan has always produced his own compositions. With a degree in Music Technology and years of studio experience to back him up, at the age of 24, Dan is really starting to break through with tracks that are gaining interest from respected industry professionals. Both as himself and his alias Jader, Dan is working harder than ever to keep his sound fresh and at the forefront of electronic music.

Over the past 2 years Dan has ran his own record label. TRIPTIK has now had numerous very successful releases including rising Argentinean producer Niko Fantin’s “Fire Games” which was included in Dave Seaman’s massive “The Masters Series” compilation for Renaissance. Other members of the TRIPTIK family include artists such as Patch Park, Fusion F, Trafik & Soundexile to name a few. Such major players as Dave Seaman, Hernan Cattaneo, Satoshie Tomiie and Nick Warren can be counted as admirers and already have tracks from this rising label on heavy rotation around the world.
