MYNC return for the 4th consecutive year to mix the official Space Ibiza compilation. This year, they team up with Space favourite, Edu Imbernon, who brings his disco-tinged house sound to the party. Edu had already teemed up with the British label for the ‘Mi Casa es Su Casa’ compilation back in 2010, which he compiled and mixed alongside UNER & Coyu. The young DJ from Valencia, who just turned 23, has not stopped rising in the competitive ranking of the best DJ’s since the release of the underground anthem ‘El Baile Aleman’ in 2009.
Likewise, MYNC have been busy completing remixes for some of the biggest names in electronic dance music including Avicii, Azari & III and most recently Nervo. Their touring schedule has included playing in 3 of the worlds Top 4 clubs so far this year; Space Ibiza, Fabrik Madrid and Green Valley in Brasil. On top of that Calvin Harris snapped up their recent production ‘Stadium’ for release on his Fly Eye Recordings, and their forthcoming single ‘No Place Like Home’ looks set for big things this summer.
The 2 artists complement each other perfectly for what is a natural progression from start to finish. MYNC are known for delivering big anthemic sounds to their audiences, but can expertly weave this into a selection of more groovy tech house tracks, shown on this disc with their selection of tracks from labels such as Crosstown Rebels, Saved, Rejected and Ellum Audio. A signature feature of the past 3 years Space Ibiza discs from MYNC has always been the inclusion of a classic Space Ibiza track, and this year Junior Jack’s ‘Thrill Me’ is dropped sweetly into the mix.
Edu showcases some of his own equisite productions such as ‘Torete’ – his collaboration with Los Soruba, and the magnificent ‘Mystery Inside’ produced alongside Triumph. Other musical highlights in the mix include Sebo K ‘Mr Duke and the Matthias Tanzmann remix of Silicone Soul ‘Right On, Right On’.
The Double CD will also feature a full length DVD featuring video highlights of all the 2011 Space Ibiza residencies including the carnival experince that is the Opening and Closing Fiestas.
If you’ve never experienced the World’s Number 1 Club first hand, this compilation will guarantee to have you booking your flight immediately!
