Summer in Ibiza is booming, and at Space Ibiza this is obvious. Especially on Mondays when the Terrace and the Sunset Terrace are jam-packed with clubbers who love Ibiza Calling.
As usual, the evening started at 10pm, in anticipation of the fun to be had ahead. Kiko Navarro opened the Sunset Terrace, which came alive during the night, also later at the hands of its great residents Oscar Cano and Ramon Castells. At midnight, the Terrace opened in an explosion of colour and sound, creating a world apart from the lighter vibe on the Sunset.
Camilo Franco, much loved resident and with an infectious energy, warmed up the crowd with songs like Otto Knows - Million Voices, which especially thrilled younger clubbers who had come to Space from all over the world. Starring as the romantic moment of the evening, the dance remix of Sting - Every Breath You Take closed his session. Next up was Life is a Loop. The Brazilian trio delivered the best show possible during the next hour. Their amazing energy got to the clubbers, and their set included vintage and contemporary classics.
As the night went on, more and more people arrived and soon it was the turn of the unparalleled Wally Lopez. He clicked with the public from the first minute showing his best smile and transmitting positivity at every moment. The crowd went crazy with Somebody That I Used To Know, this summer’s sure bet.
Finally, the legend that is Roger Sanchez concluded the show. People waited to see him, and it was worth it. The expectations created by his outstanding career were met, and the crowd jumped around to the beat of his music throughout the entire session.
Ibiza Calling defines the perfect mix between mainstream and deeper house, with artists who live music from within, and make others live it too
