KEHAKUMA BETS ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE ELECTRONIC MUSIC SCENE IN MENORCA

KEHAKUMA, one of the musical references of the White Isle by creating a concept focused on an Asian theme and cutting edge sounds, landed for the first time on Friday July 6th at the Space Menorca club of the neighboring island in good company with the DJs and producers Edu Imbernon, Gelabert and Remo.

Inspired by the legendary Ibiza terrace besides the spectacular Funktion One sound system and inspired by an original KEHAKUMA party, Space Menorca began to fill up after midnight, being the terrace the meeting point for friends and faithful clubbers, who drank some cocktails surrounded by the stunning Oriental decoration, while inside the club people started to prepare themselves for what would be one of the most original nights in the island of Menorca. The "Kehakuma" compilation 2012 release, accurate reflection of the party musical aesthetic which moves into the Deep and Tech House musical coordinates, bets on the development of the clubber scene and helps to make it one of the most impacting events this summer season.

Its resident Gelabert, considered the local DJ and producer with more projection of the island, was in charge of the good warm up based on a fresh Tech House which kept people active on the track. From two o'clock, Edu Imbernon, international DJ and producer and one of the most talented artists in the actual electronic music, took control of the cab to speed up the musical revolutions using vocals and loops that served as a complement for a session in-between House and Tech House. Hits like Getho Kravitz from Nina Kravitz, among many others, took the stage center getting engaged with the audience. After a fantastic two-hour session from Edu, it was Space Ibiza resident Remo’s turn, originally from Italy and being the creator of the Lilith Recordings label, ended the party maintaining its level with his combination of Techno and Groove and getting a step up the intensity of the session.

In its fourth year of life and being the electronic music party par excellence of the White Isle each Thursday, KEHAKUMA contributed that night to the development of the clubbing scene in the island of Menorca and being risky gamble for Space Menorca which turned out successful.
