Manuel Albarran, disenador de vestuario de Café Olé y Madonna

Aside from being the creative mind behind the costumes of one of Space Ibiza’s most extravagant nights Cafe Ole, jeweller and costume designer Manuel Albarran was also responsible for designing Madonna's headpieces and be-jewelling her supporting dancers for what was one of Madonna’s most explosive performances to date (and there have been a few!!) at America's Super Bowl on Monday the 6th of Feb.

With costumes firmly inspired by the Egyptian/Greco/Roman period and fused with a refinement appropriate for the long reigning empress of pop, the only thing more impressive than Manuel's costumes and tiaras (and M.I.A. flipping the bird!!!) was the hundred million strong global TV audience that had tuned in to watch the most eagerly anticipated half-time show on the planet.

With Space's Cafe Ole, Manuel has been working his magic in Ibiza for the last three years, each year stunningly eclipsing the last. His indulgent collections for the glamorous nights of Burlesque, 80's Disco and Futuristic Fetich have left party goers breathless and featured countless elements akin to those seen at Madonna's record breaking Super Bowl performance.

Manuel is no stranger to working with the mega famous. He has toiled alongside many of music’s more unconventional stars such as Lady Gaga, in her notorious video ‘Bad Romance’, and Rihanna, designing the now infamous barbwire costume, which was used for the album cover of "Russian Roulette".
With a resume like that, we wait oh-so expectantly for him to unveil his jaw dropping vision for Cafe Ole's 2012 season.
