Space Ibiza has collaborated with AMAVIDA’s, a home that offers accommodation, food and education to a group of girl’s project, led by Ana Villanueva in the Indian city of Calcutta. In the shelter, whose expenditure assumes the club, live thirteen Indian children from families who could not guarantee them a good future.
"The progresses of all them since we opened last year fill us with pride and happiness. They have taken on a daily routine of toilet, study, games and, above all, security, high security that was not previously”, mention the promoters of the project.
From the AMAVIDA’s association they point out that India is "one of the five worst countries to be born as a woman." For marrying them, families must pay a very high dowry to the groom, which makes many parents refuse to girls at birth. Furthermore, many do not attend school.
