Pepe Roselló in the International Music Summit - May 25, 2011 Featured

Interviewed by Carl Cox & Lynn Cosgrave, Pepe Roselló delighted the audience with his anecdotes and stories of Ibiza over the years. From the 60s, with 100,000 tourists arriving to Ibiza till today, coming up to 4 million people, the legendary Ibiza has become a world leader. Pepe Roselló was the first to bring live music combined with dance music. The club culture began with visionary businessman like him, who brought contraband discs and being even confiscated by the authorities, until he finally got permission to have 363 vinyls. His inspiration for the first club was Isadora Duncan, dancer from the Czar's court, who taught the expression through dance to the world.

"At that time all danced in pairs, lying close; even the authorities asked me to put more moved music to avoid these dances in the darkness of the dance floor ... this is how house was born".
Since then Space Ibiza has grown up, thanks to the word of mouth, to be considered today as the best club in the world.
