de la soulGet ready; all of you hip hop fans, for the first time ever, De La Soul performs live in Ibiza. And of course, it had to be in the temple of sound: Space Ibiza.

Although most of you already know all there is to know about De La Soul, here is a little review about their beginnings:

American hip hop trio formed in 1987 on Long Island, New York. The band is best known for their eclectic sampling, quirky lyrics, and their contributions to the evolution of the jazz rap and alternative hip hop subgenres. The members are Kelvin Mercer, David Jude Jolicoeur and Vincent Mason. The three formed the group in high school and caught the attention of producer Prince Paul with a demo tape of the song "Plug Tunin'". With its playful wordplay, innovative sampling, and witty skits, the band's debut album, 3 Feet High and Rising, is considered a hip hop masterpiece We had a chit chat with them, here is a lil’ bit of the interview that will be published in Space Magazine, coming out next week:

“We’ve never been in Ibiza and we can’t wait to get there next Friday the 15th to perform in Space in their Come Together party... When we started to perform live, hip hop was mainly given in the clubs such as Studio 54, so we are really looking forward to that club comeback ... We love the energy of the clubs...“

Do not miss out Come Together on Friday the 15th, what an amazing line up: De La Soul, DJ Sneak, Jaguar Skills, Benga & Mc Youngman, Breakage, Rod Azlan, Artwork and a luxurious DJ selection from Pukka Up.
