Cr2 presents Space Ibiza Official Album Launch Party Featured

This June, Cr2 Records return to take over the best club in the world voted for by DJ Mag readers, Space Ibiza; for the official album launch party. Mixing the 2 disc album for the third year running MYNC are back to present the biggest in underground house and techno in the tested format, ‘La Terraza’ Disc 1, ‘La Discoteca’ Disc 2 following the form created by the super club itself. MYNC have had an exciting year, from amazing tours in Brazil and Australia to the debut of their brand new single with Dan Castro & Ron Carroll which is set for release this May. The track has received heavy radio support from the mighty Pete Tong and is no doubt set to be an anthem this summer. This year joining MYNC and the Cr2 Records family are Octave One hailing all the way from Detroit, Spanish producers Uner, Coyu & Edu Imbernon, Cr2s own Dan Castro and very special guest Yolanda Be Cool.

Octave One have been producing high quality techno for over 20 years, with their debut release ‘I Believe’ coming out on 10 Records back in 1990. Since then they’ve worked with artists such as Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Terrence Parker to name a few and remixed Steve Bug, Inner City and Massive Attack amongst many more. 2000 brought the biggest Octave One release to date ‘Blackwater’ which appeared on over 30 compilations worldwide. In February 2011 they released a special album marking 20 years of living he Techno life ‘Revisit’, which features some of electronic music’s finest producers- Luke Slater, Sandwell District, Ellen Allien and many more. ‘Revisit’ is a milestone in the career of one of Detroit Techno’s best bands and we’re more than excited for them to be joining us at Space playing a special live set.

Also on the bill we welcome back 3 Spanish producers who graced the decks of Space as a trio debut for us last year, and the reaction was so good we had to invite them back. Producers in their own right, each have had an equally successful year, whether it be pushing their own imprints (Edu’s Elektrisch), productions or DJ careers, the past 12 months have certainly seen their popularly rise. This year you can also catch them playing at Space for Kehakuma, Carl Cox and the Ministry of Sound take over’s.

We’re extremely happy to announce also joining the line up are Yolanda Be Cool, who played such a good set at our party in Miami this year we asked them to join us in Ibiza. Yolanda Be Cool are without doubt one of dance music’s success stories of 2010, their hit ‘We No Speak Americano’ hit the number 1 spot in over 15 countries worldwide and since they’ve been touring the globe on some amazing shows. Armed with the more tribal house edge to their DJ sets, we’re excited to welcome Yolanda to their Space Ibiza debut for the Cr2 Records party.
