“Being able to explore Space Ibiza on the nights of ENTER. is fundamental of what our party is all about”. Richie Hawtin released in the third season his conceptual experience with this philosophy that has made ENTER. an essential event that goes far beyond music.
On Thursday July 3rd, everyone who came to Space Ibiza could explore with all their senses what the party meant for director M_NUS: to explore and discover. To get lost from one area to another, hear new music styles, be a part of musical creation, enjoy innovative cocktails with sake… every element found in ENTER. was intended to surprise and it happened in this hypnotic opening.
The night could not have started better. The Sunset area was the first to open as ENTER.Sake, transformed into a space with Japanese décor, wood, bamboo and a special bar where Japanese drinks were served. At 11 pm the host, Richie Hawtin appeared to welcome the season with a Techno session with an experimental and minimalist touch that identifies him. With an overflow of people, the room evoked the outdoor party feel that gave Space its popularity, including no shortage of aircrafts flying over the club.
Once midnight came, favorite areas’ ENTER.Terrace and ENTER.Main emerged. The Terrace welcomed the sound of Tale Of Us, Maceo Plex, Ida Engberg and Bella Sarris. With a cooler and less dark style from the Main Room, guest artists contributed a counterpoint to the strength of the main room. Without lowering the intensity, Maceo Plex was the last to perform after the Milan duo Tale of Us, who closed with one of his new songs like ‘Conjure Sex’ and his recent remix for GusGus- Crossfade.
Meanwhile, in ENTER.Main, the lights arrived with sets of Recondite and Paco Osuna. Their energetic techno was obvious, especially if you were situated in the center of the dance floor to appreciate the undeniable quality of the Funktion One sound. Big circle lights above the DJ drew lots of attention as they lit up to the beats. As expected, the aesthetic minimalism permeated the entire club, but also when it came time for the musician, Hawtin to get behind the decks. The session was a continuation of the original with some concessions to his alter-ego, Plastikman. Definitely the climax of the most exclusive opening party at Space.
And to top it off, ENTER.Mind and ENTER.CNTRL offered its alternative and experimental version of the night for the most daring and adventurous clubbers. The first room was a delight for the ears thanks to the most advanced of the moment action, while in the Premiere Etage was home to a musical interactive installation for attendees to “play” creating new sounds.
