Ibiza Calling: Fast and furious

Ibiza Calling 2014Ibiza Calling 2014Ibiza Calling 2014

Ibiza. Wednesday, 25th June. Eleven at night. Hundred of tuned cars. An infinite party mood. Where are we? Of course we are in round 2 of Ibiza Calling. In addition to the best EDM music joins another sound: the roar of the Modball Rally luxury vehicles.

Pilots and clubbers, all were invited to the second installment of Ibiza Calling. To get engines started, there’s no better way to appreciate the impressive expose of  tuned cars in the parking lot at Space Ibiza. Although the main reason to get to Playa d'en Bossa was to see in action; residents Camilo Franco and Ramon Castells; and guests Mike Candys and Sick Individuals.

From 1:30 to 3:00 am Dutch DJs Sick Individuals shared their signature sound in the Terrace full of fans calling for hits like 'I AM'. John Dahlbäck was to go on after the duo, but could not arrive due to the strike by French air traffic controllers.

The absence of Swedish DJ was endured with the best of smiles thanks to Mike Candys. The artist, a native of Zurich, spread his happiness for two hours behind the decks after thousands of people who did not fail to call. Nobody stopped dancing, even when the Funktion One rang 'Anubis', the last Dance hit by Mike.

If there is one area in Space Ibiza that could be baptized, it would be the Sunset Terrace. And the name would be chosen by veteran Ramon Castells, who DJs every Wednesday night by encouraging partygoers in that room. The other resident, Camilo Franco, opened and closed Ibiza Calling. During the opening he saw his quieter version but when closing time came, he took all his weapons in the form of hits: 'Pondo', 'I Got' and 'Get This'. There was no shortage in Camilo’s tracklist.

Ibiza Calling returns in 6 days with Camilo Franco, Cazzette, Mike Candys, Ramon Castells and Sidney Samson. When you least expect it, the best EDM will be on blast at Space Ibiza. Until then, we leave you with the Ibiza Calling Opening podcast.
