After the resounding success of its Opening last December 14th, Space Moscow returned to the fray with a line-up leveled to the expectations left by the relentless Tiësto. The clubbers wanted to live another memorable night, and the franchise of the famous Ibiza club was not going to disappoint them. Clandestin was in charge of bringing the music and the atmosphere to the impressive Kutuzovskiy prospect located club, with artists such as Camilo Franco, Deorro, Laidback Luke and Steve Aoki. A vertiginous line-up, along with a flawless atmosphere; all the ingredients were ready and the shaker only had to be shaken.
The starting signal was given at 10.30pm with DJ M.E.G’s warm-up, which made sure to increase the club’s heat as the first clubbers were taking positions on the dance floor. At 11.30pm came Camilo Franco’s turn to take control of the decks and spread his highly danceable rhythms to a devoted crowd. The connection between Space Ibiza’s resident and Moscow’s crowd was absolute; the night couldn’t have started better.
At 1am the first main course of the night arrived: the always surprising Laidback Luke. The Dutch DJ and Producer made clear why he is a safe bet when it comes to animating a dance floor, showing a great connection with the audience and offering an overwhelming set that made the more than 4.000 clubbers dance as if there was no tomorrow.
But the most expected moment of the night would come at 2.30am with the appearance on stage of the man of the moment on the EDM scene: Steve Aoki. Dim Mak’s owner offered everything that was expected from him: music, dances, crowd surfing, cake throwing and fun, lots of fun. The show was served and the crowd alternated “Cake Me” shouts with frenetic dances at the level of the best festivals worldwide. But when the audience thought it couldn’t expect anything better for the night, the American DJ pulled a rabbit out of the hat to culminate a high voltage set: the appearance on stage of the American rapper Waka Flocka Flame, who was in Moscow and didn’t want to miss Aoki’s show. The rapper took the mic and adapted his flow to the rhythms of his fellow countryman, joined by Deorro who didn’t want to live the show from the backstage. After half an hour of an improvised performance by the three artists (Waka Flocka Flame rapping as Steve Aoki and Deorro were performing Back 2 Back), the first two left the stage, leaving the latter free to drop his pounding beats to an audience that barely had energy left but was keen on keeping the party up. The American DJ/Producer kept playing until 5.30am, when Camilo Franco headed back to the booth to knock down the remaining clubbers that refused to see the lights turn on and leave the club.
