IBIZA CALLING CAPTIVATES CAPE TOWN ON NEW YEAR’S EVE
New Year’s Eve was the perfect excuse for Ibiza Calling to be introduced in South Africa. The world-famous Ibiza party, hosted at Space Ibiza every Wednesday of the summer, took advantage of a breathtaking day and Camp’s Bay magnificent venue, The Bungalow Clifton, to conquer more than 5.000 party-goers.
Brought to Cape Town by the hand of G & G Productions, the event offered the audience the best electronic beats in an idyllic venue to celebrate New Year’s Eve. And the audience’s answer could not be more explicit: The event was sold out many days before December 31st and a long queue of clubbers was set in front of the venue from the early hours.
The Bungalow Clifton is a well-known beach club that had to adapt its structure for the event, displaying two additional outdoor stages (Main Stage and VIP) to the restaurant’s dance floor. It was the first time the venue hosted an event that big, which highlights much more the success for the South African hosts. All these elements along with an outstanding decoration, beautiful LED screen visuals and a great performance ended up being the best combination for an unforgettable night.
Headlined by Ibiza Calling’s resident Danny Marquez, the audience had the time of its life with his progressive electronic style and his “big room sound”. Along with him and spread around the 3 rooms, 5FM’s Dj’s were also a remarkable point of the night, as the crowd didn’t stop dancing to their local heroes: DJ Fresh, Rob Vember, Stephanie B, Ms Cosmo and Wags, all of whom delivered top-notch sets steeped with electric energy.
