NEW NAMES ADDED TO THE SPACE OPENING FIESTA LINE-UP

This event, a key-date in the electronic music global scene, will take place on May the 25th this year. A day in which clubbers, producers, DJs, bookers, opinion leaders, specialised press and telecom-media all gather in the same place.

After announcing the adherence of The Chemical Brothers (DJ Set) to our line-up, Space Ibiza is proud to introduce today the second confirmation round to what is going to be the 25th edition of a genuine event that marks a milestone in Ibiza’s clubbing scene every year. The British James Zabiela, member of the distinguished Born Electric label; the Menorca-born promising young talent Gelab; the renowned Space Ibiza On Tour resident Camilo Franco; Kehakuma resident Javi Bora; the admired London artist Jon Rundell; Ibiza Calling resident Danny Marquez; the Kiss FM famous radio host Charlie HedgesJonathan Ulysses, author of the famous Jamie Fisher’s Acidic remix; Harvey McKay, the Glasgow-born popular DJ and producer; and Café Olé resident Rafha Madrid will join The Chemical Brothers (Dj Set) to fill the awaited line-up.

The Space Opening Fiesta, an event that has marked the beginning of the season in Ibiza for 25 years, will start at 12PM this summer.

THE CHEMICAL BROTHERS (DJ SET)

If we talk about innovation and cutting edge music, we must mention the British band The Chemical Brothers (DJ Set). Created in London in the early nineties, the duo formed by Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons has had a long career full of triumphs: the audience records at renowned festivals such as Glastonbury and Creamfields, as well as the groundbreaking success of albums like Dig Your Own Hole or Push The Button, are proof of their skills and connection with the crowds.

JAMES ZABIELA

Spreading music in the most respected clubs worldwide, James Zabiela has been taking the Deep House sounds to another level. Born Electric is the label in which he is involved, along with Drew Hill, Iron Galaxy and Pedestrian.Usually invited as a guest DJ on the We Love… Sundays at Space Ibiza, James has had a profilic ten-year career during which he has shared the DJ booth with artists of the likes of Underworld, Sasha, Joris Voorn, Tiga or Hot Chips, just to name a few.

GELAB

It is often said that perseverance is the key to success, and that talent is nothing without hard work and passion. Gelab was one of those kids which spend all day with the headphones on. As time went by, his taste for production expanded to the dance floors, where, at the age of 16, he began discovering another fundamental facet of electronic music: deejaying. The promising artist from Menorca finds his most representative sound in EDM and, despite his youth, he has already played in events of the likes of the Ultra Music Festival, the Space Closing Fiesta or the Space Moscow Opening. His first studio album, Zero, is about to be released.

CAMILO FRANCO

The Space Ibiza and Space Ibiza On Tour resident Camilo Franco is known all around the world thanks to his job as a deejay and producer alongside artists such as David Penn and René Amesz. Also, Camilo Franco has produced a variety of EPs with prestigious labels of the likes of Toolroom Records, Hotfingers, Nervous Records and Urbana Recordings.

JAVI BORA

Javi Bora is a rising star. His career endorses him as one of the most skilful deejays in the Spanish electronic music scene. His productions are carefully balanced between the most refined Deep House and the grooviest Tech House and have earned him the support of international artists such as Laurent Garnier, Steve Lawler, Jimptser or Nic Fanciulli.

JON RUNDELL

Close friend of the world-known Techno master Carl Cox, Jon Rundell is a renowned producer, remixer and international DJ. His track Knick Knack became a number 1 the in Beatport main lists and his unique sets in clubs all around the world have brought together first-class artists such as Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Adam Beyer, Dubfire and Nic Fanciulli.

DANNY MARQUEZ

Danny Marquez keeps exploring new horizons and working to improve his skills constantly. Resident at Space Ibiza and its international tour, Danny began his career at 18 and left his hometown Barcelona to travel around the world and play at the best clubs. His upcoming releases for 2014 will be edited through Big Room Sound.

CHARLIE HEDGES

Offering her sessions in Ibiza’s most outstanding nights alongside Carl Cox, Charlie Hedges, hailing from the UK, bestows an unmistakable Electro House in all of her sets. Radio-show broadcaster every morning at Kiss FM and producer and Dj during the rest of the day, Charlie Hedges has positioned herself as a very sought-out act in many festivals of the UK and Europe, such as the High Definition or Sundance festivals.

JONATHAN ULYSSES

On 2014, Jonathan Ulysses will join Ibiza’s most famous party on Sundays: We Love… Jonathan’s music is characterized by up-tempo House sounds which fit perfectly with today’s electronic scene standards. His productions, very successful on Beatport platforms, have been released on major labels such as UMM, Ministry, Destined, DJ Center and Klubstar among others.

HARVEY MCKAY

Coming from the prestigious Glasgow underground scene, Harvey McKay has earned himself a reputation thanks to his Deep House style, combined in his sessions with a very dark kind of Techno. His career as a producer is also world-known, with hits such as First Strike From Mars being played by artists of the likes of Sven Väth.

RAFHA MADRID

Rafha Madrid has become an established artist both in the demanding Ibiza nights and in the European electronic music scene. The Barcelona-born DJ has shared the booth with some of the greatest names of the global Dance panorama.
