DJ Callum’s sets reflect his years of vinyl addiction bringing an encyclopedic knowledge, finely-honed skills and an irrepressible enthusiasm for all types of music to the turntables, effortlessly blending everything from funky old skool disco, boogie, soul, quality deep house, techno and everything around and in-between to create an irresistibly sexy party groove impossible not to move to.

After first cutting his DJ teeth over 20 years ago at Sheffield’s infamous cellar parties and illegal blues clubs, Callum has since enjoyed a wide-ranging music career with numerous club residencies, pirate radio shows, gigs at the UK’s hottest underground venues, US and European tours and private parties for everyone from Damian Hurst to Courtney Love. As a member of the infamous DIY and Smokesceen crews, Callum played extended sets at their legendary outdoor free parties and club nights and as Digital Boogie with partner DJ Raw produced a string of quality deep house EPs including the underground smash ‘Afterglow’. He has worked for many years in record shops and vinyl distribution, been music adviser on film and TV projects, A&Red numerous compilations of obscure 70s and 80s rarities for different labels, and along with old friends Rodney ‘Roots Manuva’ Smith and DJ Winston Hazel (Forgemasters), set up the ‘Lord Gosh Sound System’, playing a series of much heralded warehouse parties in London, New York, Glasgow and Glastonbury.

Spending more time in the studio in recent years, Callum released a slew of re-edits spanning a mind-boggling array of genres - afro-disco, rock, new wave, punk-funk, Balearic and beyond - under a variety of aliases for a number of well-respected labels including Messalina, Cellophane, Par-Tay, Space Truckin’, Wildlife and more.

He currently has new material set to drop on Messalina plus the launch of his new pet project - a deep house (ish!) label Rhythm Section, plus watch out for some heavy duty dirty electro funk as Viscount De Bango.

Now full-time in Ibiza, Callum can be heard playing all around the island with residencies for Space’s Carl Cox and Come Together as well as We Love... plus regular gigs at Sands, Balearic Mystique, Ibiza Rocks and Boutique Hostal Salinas and many other other one-off parties around the island.
