OVUM HATCHS AT SPACE IBIZA Featured

400x600-OVUM DEFINITIVOOvum Recordings, one of the most essential labels in electronic music, will hold a one-off exclusive party at Space Ibiza on June 11th.

Josh Wink will head things up on the Space Terrace, joined by Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, as well as fellow Ovum artist M A N I K and Jon Charnis, while Remo and Paul Reynolds bring house vibes to the Sunset Terrace.

When you're as iconic a figure as Josh Wink, it's not so easy to sum up a career in a few words—but there are a couple of terms that might serve to get a handle on the seminal electronic-music producer's lifework. One of the most apt, certainly, would be longevity. A brief scan of Wink's mammoth résumé reveals the following: Early-'80 days as an underage mobile DJ; a major role in fostering his native Philadelphia's burgeoning warehouse scene during the house-music explosion later that decade; name-making '90s club hits like "Don't Laugh", "Higher State of Consciousness" and "I'm Ready", and a label, Ovum Recordings, that's undisputedly one of the most essential dance-music imprints. With his latest EP, 'Balls' shaping up to be one of the biggest techno cuts of the 2013, Wink has once again proven himself to be at the forefront of the underground electronic music scene.

After the success of the 'Ovum & Friends' party at the Treehouse in Miami earlier this year, Wink has again brought along long-time friend Orlando Higginbottom, AKA Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs to join the party. Undoubtedly one of the most important electronic musicians of the last few years, TEED's talents in the studio are matched only be his versatility as a DJ, as proven by his ability to credibly tread a respectable line between pop music and the underground.

Joining them will be deep-house afficianado M A N I K, a long-standing Ovum contributor whose recent output has set him forward as a figurehead for the label in recent years, since bursting onto the scene with his 2010 debut 'From The Park To The Slope'. Footing up the bill on the Space Terrace is Jon Charnis, whose upcoming releases on labels like No. 19 and Supernature make him a definite talent to keep an eye on. Heading up the proceedings on the sunset terrace is Space resident Remo and Ibiza veteran Paul Reynolds, both of whom have years of DJ experience on the island.

On Tuesday June 11th, from 10 pm, don't let scape this musical experience, Ovum at Space Ibiza.
