RICHIE HAWTIN PRESENTS EXIT – ENTER SEASON CLOSING Featured

We’ve seen momentous collaborations, a sporadic sea-side session at Salinas beach, secret after-parties in San Miguel, pre-parties where sake cocktails flowed as much as the music, the most cutting-edge technology that converted a whole room allowing clubbers to generate their own sound and images, purpose built installations transforming Space Ibiza into something almost unbelievable and above all, a perfect partnership between the respected, Asian infused  party Kehakuma and Richie Hawtin’s ENTER. which has without argument completely smashed this summer’s clubbing calendar to pieces.

Before it began, people were excited. Once the party really started at the beginning of July, only then did we all realise that when Richie said ENTER. would go beyond everything you could see and hear, inviting music lovers to “Take the next step”, that we ultimately saw the twilight of something truly spectacular.

Having a long-list of world famous artists as his closest friends did nothing to dampen the impressive line-ups each week including a one-off set by the legendary Sven Väth, a live performance by Grimes, the historic collaboration with Ushuaïa and Luciano which saw two parties and clubs unite, and the numerous appearances by Dubfire, Nina Kraviz, Paco Osuna, Magda, Maya Jane Coles, amongst many, many others and of course Nick Curly almost each and every week, the real soul of Space’s own party Kehakuma - which rolls on for a few more weeks once ENTER. is over.

For the ENTER. closing party – creatively summed up as EXIT - we see a climax which includes Maya Jane Coles set to take over ENTER.Sake, from 10pm until midnight followed by the eclectic, body shaking sounds of Hito while back again this week are Magda and Marc Houle (live) alongside Nick Curly and Livio & Roby and their mate George G introducing ENTER.Kehakuma to Premiesku – a unique experience whereby these three inspirational artists bring out specially designed, tailor-made analogue consoles which were specially built from parts of various machines by a craftsman in a workshop in the heart of Romania. Making their vision come alive of playing electronic music without a computer, they say they have “entered the era of their analogue sound!” Don’t miss it.

In to the heart of the party - the room on Thursdays now known as simply ENTER. - catch Richie Hawtin, Paco Osuna, Ambivalent and Matador (live) bringing down the final call of the most explosive party of the summer with more than a few surprises. Producer Matador (real name Gavin Lynch) counts Richie as one of his key influences and since being welcomed into the m-nus family, he’s earned even more respect for his introspective projects and live shows which simply blow you away.

Reflecting on a summer where Richie’s injected a phenomenal amount of energy, passion and even some bartending skills – he’s often found in ENTER.Sake serving drinks before playing – his vision to create something unique, explosive, intriguing and without limits which invites the music lover inside his world but also challenges them with new experiences has gone beyond what maybe even he imagined could be possible.

What is sure, is that the ultimate night of ENTER. will be tinged with a little sadness as no-one wants it to end. But the final celebration will go beyond whatever expectations you have.

So don’t be left at the door. Be there early and embrace the last experience of ENTER. before the black curtain falls over summer 2012.
