PEPE ROSELLÓ IS AWARDED WITH EL PREMIO PORTMANY


February 14th 2011, the Town Hall of Sant Antoni de Portmany awarded Pepe Roselló with Portmany Prize for his career, social outreach, and acquired merits.

The businessman, native of Sant Antoni, after starting his steps in the nightlife sector managing several clubs such as "El Refugio" or "La Reja", created the “Playboy Club” in the early 1960s. Years later, in 1987, eventually taking charge of a Congress and events hall that two years later would call Space Ibiza; one of the most representative of international clubbing that would position to Ibiza as a reference for all dance music lovers.

For all this long career devoted body and soul to promote the development of the island of Ibiza, the visionary and pioneer businessman received the precious award in an institutional event held in the tent installed for the occasion in the Passeig of Ses Fonts of Sant Antoni at the hands of the mayor José Sala. Next to him, received the award cited other illustrious citizens like teacher Joan Juan Riera, Arturo Ramos Garcia doctor or journalist Nito Vedera, among others.
