Space Ibiza celebra el 14 de agosto su 20 aniversario desplegando todo su poderío y con decenas de artistas a partir de las 16.30 horas.
1989 fue un año de libertades en el que ocurrieron hechos tan trascendentes como la caída del Muro de Berlín y las protestas de la plaza de Tian’anmen. Fue el año en el que se institucionaliza el despertar de la conciencia medioambiental y se firma el Protocolo de Montreal para proteger la capa de ozono. En 1989, bajo mandato de François Mitterrand, se levantan las pirámides del Louvre como nueva entrada al museo más prestigioso del planeta; 6.000 cristales superpuestos en una obra aún hoy controvertida del arquitecto Leoh Ming Pei. En 1989 el Dalái Lama es galardonado con el Premio Nobel de la Paz y el de Literatura va a parar a uno de los grandes de las letras hispánicas de todos los tiempos, el también controvertido Camilo José Cela, autor de obras excelentes como La Colmena. También este año tiene lugar la primera emisión mundial de la serie Los Simpson, llegan a la gran pantalla títulos como Batman, Black Rain y Cinema Paradiso, los Rolling publican Steel Wheels y Ken Follet termina y lanza al mercado su novela Los Pilares de la Tierra. En 1989 Space Ibiza abre sus puertas al candor de una isla que emanaba música, tolerancia y libertad.
El sol, ancestralmente símbolo de fiesta y ritos vitales, alumbró un proyecto que en pocos años dio la vuelta al mundo. Space Ibiza cabalgaba sobre el éxito, ofreciendo alternativas ambientales y musicales, innovando y creando, enriqueciendo culturalmente una isla desde siempre vinculada a la música.
Este 2009 Space celebra pues su 20 aniversario y lo hará a lo grande el próximo 14 de agosto con una fiesta en la que el auténtico anfitrión serás tú, el público que nos ha acompañado en esta maravillosa odisea. Agradecido y satisfecho, Space desplegará todo su poderío en un acontecimiento que será difícil de olvidar. Friday 14 August Space Ibiza celebrates its 20th anniversary from 16.30, and as usual you will not be disappointed with an outstanding line-up of DJ talent. 1989 was a year of freedom, with such monumental events that occurred such as the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the protests in the Tian'anmen Square. It was the year which signalled the awakening of environmental awareness and signed the Montreal Protocol to protect the ozone layer. In 1989, under mandate of François Mitterrand, the pyramids were built as a new entrance to the Louvre museum's most prestigious on the planet, overlaid on a windows 6000 work still controversial architect Leoh Ming Pei.
In 1989 the Dalai Lama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for Literature. This same year seen the first global broadcast of the TV series ‘The Simpsons’ and on the big screen we seen films such as Batman, Black Rain and Cinema Paradiso. The Rolling Stones brought out ´Steel Wheels´and Ken Follet published his novel ´The Pillars of the Earth´.
In 1989 Space Ibiza opened its doors for the first time to the candor of an island that emanated freedom, spirituality and creativity. Space invented a new musical creation, dancing in the sunlight, we were able to share and spread this joy of partying in the day. It had a special magic about it! Space Ibiza riding on this success, through attitude, vision, creativity, and most importantly the music, is what has guided the development of the club, which today is still one of the most cutting edge venues in the world.
