Carlos Roselló, second place in the World’s Championship Featured

Carlos Roselló achieved the second place in the world of the Laser 4.7 class in San Francisco (USA).

Today finished off San Francisco World Championship Laser 4.7 class, where the sailor Carlos Roselló, belonging to Ibiza Yacht Club, has won the world championship second place, making the best race of his life as an athlete.

Carlos, who came to lead the championship the fourth day of competition, has won the long-awaited podium to get the silver medal world championship. The first place and World Champion was another member of the team representing Spain, Francisco Gonzalez from the Canary Islands. The third place on the podium went to the Belgian De Smith William.

Carlos has achieved the American dream and has made the race with a chance of winning until the end. San Francisco has earned a good place in the World Championship for the Ibizan yacht club showcases; the greatest reward has got a competitor in a world of yachting's oldest institution of the island of Ibiza.

Since he was little, Carlos Roselló has been enthusiastic about sports; he played football, basketball, tennis and sailing. From the beginning he excelled in all sports he played, but preferred the candle as his passion. His brother Pepe has also been an outstanding sportsman of CN Ibiza, coming to get a first child position in a Cup of Spain Laser 4.7 class or, as his father José Rosselló, which belongs to CN S. Furthermore, Antonio managed to win the last Ruta de la Sal. Without doubt, a champions saga.

Carlos is a full athlete who exudes passion and enthusiasm in everything he does, knows how to win and knows how to lose with class and respect. In addition to be a great athlete in all its aspects, is an outstanding student, having finished high school with excellent grades.

It is one of the most leading athletes of C.N. Ibiza and has achieved important victories for the entity. His next goal is the Spain’s Championship of the Laser Radial class, held in Gran Canaria from the 4th to the 8th of December. But first, he will have to be rated within the top eight in the Trophy Illes Balears held from the 8th to the 11th of September at the RCN Pollensa.

His dream, like any great athlete, is to participate in the Olympic games. Very difficult goals taking into account the level that exists in Spain, but we are confident that this young talent will get everything he wants.
