ünter Schwaiger is currently fully focused on his new production, a documentary co-produced by TVE (Spain) and ORF (Austria) based on a mytical character of Ibizan music, the legendary Alfredo Fiorito. Starting with him, the film will go on to examine Ibiza, the recent leisure history and development of music in western cultures. Schwaiger is a very prestigious international director, his film “Hafner´s Paradise” was awarded - among many other tropheys – best film in Valladolid´s Seminici: (www.hafnerparadise.com). His last production, ARENA, concerning the World of bull-fighting, was braodly reproduced in Spanish and Austrian cinemas for vast period of time and will be seen in several different national televisions (TVE projected the film on the 12th of June 2010 within the programming of “La Noche Temática”).

Alfredo Fiorito, Argentinien by birth but fostered in Ibiza, is today resident of the WE LOVE….SPACE party, where he plays each Sunday in company of percussionist Ian C, he still stands triumphant after 30 years within the Ibizan music scene. He has established himself as godfather of the “Balearic beat” and living legend of what dance music has represented to Ibiza.
The production team of this documentary has travelled to Ibiza in several ocasions to film Alfredo´s sets in the Sunset Terrace of Space, where he has already become an Ibizan Icon with his varied fresh sets full of energy.
