Five 'cracks' and one revolution Featured

Digweed, Sasha, Metric, Freeland and Varela. Tuesday 1 September in Space Ibiza. The biggest night of Carl Cox´s Revolution is here!

"When we play together, watch the magic happen” - John Digweed, one half of one of the world´s most successful dance partnerships in the electronic music scene, along with Sasha. The pair has conquered the world, serving up unforgettable sets since the early 90s and mixing compilations that break records sales.

Now Sasha & John Digweed will return to Space Ibiza, to the Main Room, hosted by Carl Cox and Join Our Revolution.

Adored, worshipped and beloved figures in the industry, both have been regulars in the top rankings of the top 10 DJs in the world. The DJ Top 100 Poll of 2008 gives Sasha seventh position "for his continued ability to stay ahead of the dance scene". Digweed, "one of the first superstar DJs", occupies the ninth position. "Their ability to reinvent themselves is amazing."

Alongside the British duo on 1 September is rising fellow English star Alex Metric, young and destined for the top. He composes, produces, remixes and mixes. What can't he do? "I want my music to spread throughout the world." A fan of indie, big beat, eighties pop and disco tunes, Metric has carved an interesting career over recent years with numerous releases on Marine Parade and no less numerous remixes for Hard-Fi, Alphabeat, Reverend & The Makers and The Infadels. Metric plays on the Terrace and he will be joined by Adam Freeland and the big star of international Techno: Cristian Varela.

Cristian Varela is a complete musician. He studied music and piano and the classical genre, tried some compositional forays with remarkable success, then entered the world of electronica, attracted by artists like Depeche Mode, Kraftwerk and Front 242. The Madrid native boasts a prolific discography. Pornographic Recordings, the label he co-directed with Belgian Marco Bailey, is a massive in the European techno circuit. His talent has been rewarded on numerous occasions. In 2008, he again won the Deejay magazine award for 'Best Techno DJ' of the year.

As for Adam Freeland, famed as a producer, he has remixed everyone from Kelis to Orbital, and was even nominated for a Grammy in 2005 for his remix of 'Fever' by Sarah Vaughn. Plus his bootlegs of Nirvana and the White Stripes were huge club hits. Freeland ventures into everything from indie, Fujiya & Miyagi, to an official remix of 'Hello, I Love You' by The Doors, not forgetting his original productions (like the overwhelming single 'Silverlake Pills' from Mexico City). His productions have also been used on movies and TV, such as in Spiderman and CSI.

Come on... Join Our Revolution. We love it!
