In a word, Space Ibiza means success. This is exactly the summary of what happened last September the 6th when the massive Space Moscow hosted the very first event of a global journey which promises to become legendary: the Space Ibiza 25th Anniversary tour. The great Carl Cox, whose name has become synonym with Space, was the chosen star to begin such a special series of parties with the joy of the silver jubilee as the guiding spirit.
Space Moscow opened its doors at 10:30PM and the first guest of the night, Javi Bora, took over the booth an hour later. His excellent House set became the perfect start for the party, with brilliant tracks such as Mr G’s ‘It Dub’ or Robert Hood’s remix of Carl Taylor’s ‘Debbie’s Groove’. Nic Fanciulli, the owner of the renowned Saved Records label, succeeded Javi at the booth and carried on the Spanish DJ’s work with his fresh House and Tech House sound. The crowd had a real lot of fun with his vitalizing set – a perfect preface for the night’s climax.
Some artists are just peerless, and their appearance at the stages means a true revolution. That is Carl Cox’s case. The Three Deck Wizard began its set at 3:30PM and turned the whole Space Moscow upside down. His House and Techno mix was unique, as always. No one could have been a better choice to transmit Space Ibiza’s joy to the Russian audience. After two hours of musical madness, Denis A closed the night from 5:30PM to 6:30PM with a skillful, high-intensity set for those who preferred to stay up late.
Space Entertainment wishes to thank Space Moscow for their hospitality – and, most of all, the Russian people for such an unforgettable night: the official opening of the Space Ibiza 25th Anniversary Tour couldn’t have been better.
