When Nick Wilson takes over the decks at a party, it’s obvious, as his tall thin shadow stands over six and a half feet tall. Hence his moniker ‘Bones.’ As a regular fixture and respected member of the Denver dance music scene for more than 15 years, Bones has earned a reputation as one of the most well-rounded DJs Denver has to offer. Playing everything from downtempo and house, to tech-house and hip-hop, his unique selection of music and fusion of genres has put him in line-ups with the likes of Lee Burridge, Carl Craig, Danny Howells, Miguel Migs, Jimpster, and many others.
After ending a long-running residency at Shelter nightclub, he shifted his attention to a wide range of events; everything from daytime parties like the yearly Denver Derby party, to intimate warehouse afterhours affairs. As an integral part of ROOTS Events, Bones has spent the last the last four years working closely with DJ Hipp-E producing top-tier events and bringing a steady stream of national and international talent to the mile high city. He has also been an instrumental member of the group responsible for the launch of Denver's very own Great American Techno Festival in 2011, which he will again be playing at in 2012.
In the year to come, expect to catch Bones on several live broadcasts such as Beatport's Friday dance party, UltraWizardSword, and ROOTS’ very own monthly ROOTS Foundations podcast sessions airing this summer 2012. On the road, you can catch him in L.A., San Francisco and New York along with other ROOTS artists to round out the year.
